Sharon O’Keefe

Most recently, Sharon served as the President and COO at University of Chicago Medical Center. During her tenure, Sharon led the integration with Ingalls Health System following the merger in 2016. Previously in her career, Sharon served as the President of Loyola University Medical Center, EVP and COO at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and SVP of Operations at University of Maryland Medical System. She has also worked as a healthcare consultant with Ernst & Young. Additionally, Sharon has served on the National Institutes of Health Advisory Board for Clinical Research, the Finance Committee of the National Institutes of Health Advisory Board, the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Hospital Association, and as an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. Sharon received an M.S. in Nursing from Loyola University of Chicago and a B.S. in Nursing from Northern Illinois University.
