Richard Waldman, MD

Dr. Richard Waldman is the founder and former president of Associates for Women’s Medicine, a provider practice based in Syracuse, New York.

Dr. Waldman served as Chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at St. Joseph’s Hospital is the Immediate Past President of the Medical Staff and a former member of the Board of Trustees. In the past he was President of the Central New York Obstetrics and Gynecology Society and was a member of the board of the National Perinatal Association. Dr. Waldman has received several honors including a United States Air Force Commendation Medal, a District Service Award and a Section service award from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, and an award for community service from the Onondaga County Medical Society. Dr. Waldman has been very active in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. On a national level he was President of that 56,000 member organization from 2010-2011. He was also Chairman of the New York State District for almost 6 years. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Medical Liability Insurance Company.Dr. Waldman received his medical degree from the Rutgers College of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York.
