Paul O'Connell

Paul O’Connell is a board member of SCP Interventional Radiology, a realized Shore portfolio company. Paul serves as the President of B. Braun Interventional Systems, Inc. Starting in July 2001, he was the Vice President of the Vascular Interventional Products Group at B. Braun. From 1999 to 2001, he provided Marketing and Technical support consulting services to medical device companies. He was the Owner of Sablier from 1998 to 1999 where he developed new technologies for the treatment of thromboembolic diseases and for distal protection during carotid endarterectomy. From 1993 to 1998, Paul served as Vice-President and General Manager of the Vena Tech division of B. Braun Medical, a medical device business which he originally co-founded in 1988 and sold to B. Braun Medical in 1993. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Vascular Solutions, Inc. since January 2002.
