Melanie Whelan

Melanie Whelan serves as an Advisory Partner at Summit Partners, working closely with the Growth Products & Services team. She previously served as Managing Director at Summit and as Chief Executive Officer of SoulCycle, where she led the company’s expansion from eight studios in New York City to nearly 100 locations across 18 markets. Earlier in her career, Melanie served as Chief Operating Officer at SoulCycle, Head of Business Development at Equinox, and was part of the founding team at Virgin America. She also held corporate development roles at Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Melanie serves on the boards of FIGS and Chegg and holds a B.A. in Engineering and Economics.
