Bio
Matt Marolda is an Executive Partner at Shore Capital, a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. He applies AI, technology, and data to transform businesses, drive marketing, and inform creative decisions.
Matt founded two companies serving professional sports and has held senior leadership roles as Chief Analytics Officer at Legendary Entertainment, President of Applied Analytics at Warner Bros., an executive leader at Tulco Holdings, and Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at Acrisure, a $5 billion financial services firm with 20,000 employees.
At Acrisure, he led innovation strategy, built and deployed proprietary AI and data capabilities, oversaw digital sales and service centers, and directed global marketing. At Tulco, he partnered with portfolio companies to create AI-driven tools to accelerate marketing efficiency, top-line growth, and customer retention, including at FIGS, which went public in 2021.
Earlier, Matt founded and led Legendary’s AI and data division and was part of the senior executive team that sold Legendary in 2016. In 2018, he led the sale of his division to Warner Bros., expanding its work across Warner Bros., HBO, and Turner to support major films, HBO series, news, and professional sports broadcasts. He began his career founding StratBridge, building and selling both the “moneyball” analytics and dynamic pricing software businesses.
Matt earned an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth, where he won the Adams Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship, and graduated with honors from Bowdoin College in economics and mathematics with a minor in art history.
