Lauren Kunkel

Lauren is a Manager at Shore Capital Partners, a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Lauren’s responsibilities include working with portfolio company management teams to improve operational performance, implement strategic initiatives, and prepare acquired platforms for add-on acquisitions and de novo growth

 

Before joining Shore, Lauren was an Associate at Areté Capital Partners in Chicago, where she partnered with executive teams, private equity firms, and lenders to drive sustainable growth. She led teams through complex situations, including business plan development, liquidity and solvency analyses, operational turnarounds, Quality of Earnings reviews, and strategic planning. Lauren previously held roles in Lazard’s Investment Banking division and Deloitte’s M&A Transaction Services practice.

 

Lauren holds an MBA from the University of South Dakota and a B.S. from Augustana University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Minnesota.
