Kevin Batson

Kevin Batson is Head of Tax at Shore Capital Partners, a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Kevin’s responsibilities include oversight of all tax aspects of Shore’s activities, including working with the investment teams and portfolio companies to drive value and deliver tax results.

 

Kevin has over twenty years of tax experience in a variety of industries including financial services, private equity and law.  Prior to joining Shore, Kevin was Head of Tax for PEAK6 Investments, an investment vehicle with middle-market operating businesses ranging from proprietary options trading, stock clearing and execution and private investments to eSports and insurance servicing.  Previously, Kevin was Tax Director for a variety of GE Capital operating subsidiaries, including the North American arm of the company’s Lending and Leasing businesses as well as GE Capital Bank.   Prior to his industry experience, Kevin was a Partner in the tax department of the international law firm of McDermott Will & Emery.

 

Kevin received his M.A. in Accounting from Wake Forest University, and his J.D from Michigan Law School.
