Bio
John has extensive executive leadership experience serving the restaurant, retail, distribution and amusement park industries. John served the Wendy’s system for over 11 years, leading the launch of Wendy’s Quality Supply Chain Cooperative in January 2010, which manages over $4 billion in spend annually for Wendy’s restaurants. John’s range of executive experience – including supply chain, distribution, procurement, and operations – gives him powerful insight into every link of the foodservice industry and a keen understanding of the trends impacting the channel. Prior to joining Wendy’s QSCC, John served in the manufacturing and distribution sector as Executive Vice President and General Manager for the Commercial Division of Nice-Pak/PDI, the global expert in preventing infection and cross-contamination from bacteria in foodservice and healthcare settings. John also served as Chief Procurement Officer of U.S. Foodservice as well as Senior Vice President of Purchasing, Distribution, and Logistics for Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op, LLC (the co-op for Yum! Brands), where he oversaw the procurement and distribution interests of franchise and corporate stores across A&W, KFC, Long John Silver’s, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell. John is a former member of the board of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. John previously chaired the Supply Chain Committee of the National Council of Chain Restaurants, and served on other various trade association Board and committees supporting the restaurant industry. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for GS1 US, and is a member of the global Board for GS1.
