Joao Araujo

Joao is an Executive Partner of Shore Capital, a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA.

 

He has spent 30 years leading operations and E2E supply chains worldwide. At Shore Capital, he supports investment strategy, operational performance, and growth within the firm’s Industrial and Food & Beverage Funds.

 

Most recently, Joao was Chief Operations Officer at Ambipar Response, a rapidly growing environmental services company, where he merged several independent firms into a unified North American platform. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at Kraft Heinz Co, where he held leadership roles in Supply Chain and Operations throughout Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East & Africa, finally serving as Executive Vice President of Operations for North America and headquarters. Living on four continents, Joao has faced numerous challenges and learned from varied cultures and business settings.

 

He began his career in South America, dedicating 15 years to leading companies in consumer-packaged goods, logistics service providers, and mass retail. Joao holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), a Post-Graduate Degree in Marketing from IBMEC São Paulo and an MBA from Business School São Paulo in Brazil.
