Bio
Dr. Stephen Klasko is an Executive in Residence at General Catalyst focused on healthcare VC investments. He serves as Chairman of the Board at DocGo, Lead Independent Director of Teleflex (publicly traded, $11.2B market cap), Chief Global Innovation Officer of Sheba Medical Center, and Chair of the CEO Council for the American Cancer Society. Dr. Klasko was also appointed by President Biden to the National Board of Education Sciences. Prior to his time at General Catalyst, Dr. Klasko served as CEO and President of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson health, a $10B+ health system that grew exponentially under his leadership. Throughout his career, Dr. Klasko has established himself as a thought leader in innovative forms of healthcare delivery. He started his career as a women’s health physician before serving as the Dean of the medical schools at both Drexel and the University of South Florida. Dr. Klasko earned his B.S. in Chemistry and Biology at Lehigh University before earning his M.D. at the Drexel University College of Medicine and his M.B.A. at the Wharton School.
