Dr. Leslie Baumann

Bio
Dr. Leslie Baumann is a board-certified dermatologist, author, and clinical researcher. In 1997, Dr. Baumann founded the University of Miami Cosmetic Center, the first university-operated center dedicated to cosmetic dermatology in the United States. In 2007, Dr. Baumann founded the Baumann Cosmetic & Research Institute (BCRI). She has led research studies for the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to investigate pivotal cosmetic procedures, such as the use of Botox for treating excessive sweating of the palms and underarms. Dr. Baumann has led over 20 clinical trials for skin aging, body contouring, and facial rejuvenation products, including Botox, Dysport, Juvéderm, Sculptra, and others. She wrote the leading textbook in the space, “Cosmetic Dermatology: Principles and Practice,” published by McGraw Hill (recently publishing its third edition). Finally, Dr. Baumann founded Skin Type Solutions, a leading software solution and group purchasing business which assists practitioners with developing customized, patient-focused skincare regimens individually tailored for their patients. Dr. Baumann attended the University of Texas for her undergraduate studies, and later graduated from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Baumann completed her residency at the University of Miami’s Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.
