Dr. Bruce Nash

Bruce is an experienced medical doctor and executive with expertise in working for large health plans. As the former Chief Physician Executive for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Bruce was a member for the National Committee of Physician Executives for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, and a clinical advisor to the Blue Venture Fund, a venture fund program of over 35 BCBS entities. Bruce also served as a board member for Informed DNA, a genetic testing benefit management company, which had a successful exit to private equity in 2019. Prior to working for BCBS, Bruce was Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan, a 450,000+ member regional health plan. In this role, Bruce was responsible for hospital and provider contracting, in which he designed and piloted a novel payment model and medical home project for primary care physicians. Other relevant experiences of Bruce’s include Senior Physician Consultant at the Bard Group, President of North Adams Regional Hospital, VP for Medical Affairs at Northern Berkshire Health System, and VP for Medical Group Operations Improvement at Kaiser Permanente.
