Bio
Dan is a Partner at Shore Capital, a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Dan is co-leading partnerships and transactions, including investment sourcing and valuation, transaction structuring, and corporate development.
Prior to joining Shore, Dan served as a Principal at Marlin Equity Partners, a global private equity firm with over $8.5 billion of capital under management. While at Marlin, Dan completed five platform investments including three successful exits while contributing to the successful growth of Marlin’s Heritage Fund from $400M in Fund I to $750M in Fund II. His primary responsibilities at Marlin included deal qualification, conducting due diligence, transaction execution and support and portfolio monitoring. Dan also managed Marlin’s associate resources for the fund, including recruiting, training, reviews, compensation, and staffing.
Prior to joining Marlin, Dan worked at Sun Capital Partners where he specialized in turnaround investments, operational restructurings, and special situations. Prior thereto, Dan worked at Jefferies & Company in the General Industrials Group where he focused on leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions and debt financings across multiple industries.
Dan is a 2007 graduate of University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
