Bio
Dan Dal Degan is an experienced software executive and board leader with more than 30 years spent in enterprise technology, sales leadership, and business transformation. He currently serves as a board member and advisor to several high-growth, private equity–backed cloud software and services companies, including Great Gray Trust Company, Zilliant, and Exegy. Dan previously served as Executive Chairman of Challenger and as an Operating Partner at Marlin Equity Partners. Earlier in his career, he was CEO of SpringCM, which was acquired by DocuSign, and President of Ensighten, a digital marketing software company. He also held senior leadership positions at Salesforce, Synchrony, Siebel Systems, Sybase, and Oracle, where he gained extensive experience in scaling enterprise technology businesses. In addition, Dan co-founded Talas, a prescriptive mentoring service for software sales leaders. Dan holds a BS in General Engineering/Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, and has been actively involved with civic and philanthropic organizations, including Cara, Hope for the Day, ALS United of Greater Chicago, the Chicago Giving Circle, and 4MOM.
