Sweetmore Bakeries (Chicago, IL) operates three bakeries – Main Street Gourmet, Biscotti Brothers, and Meurer Brothers – delivering stock and custom bakery products to the retail in-store bakery (“ISB”) and national restaurant channels. Sweetmore focuses on high quality and innovative products to help customers differentiate their sweet baked goods and improve operations. Shore Capital Partners recapitalized Sweetmore in May of 2025. At the time of the original investment in 2019, Sweetmore Bakeries operated a single 50,000 square foot facility in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, staffed by a few dozen employees and serving a limited customer base. At the time of recapitalization, the platform has expanded to five operating entities across the country, encompassing over 230,000 square feet of manufacturing space, hundreds of employees, and a significantly broadened customer and product portfolio. This growth has been driven by a deliberate M&A strategy and targeted operational enhancements, enabling Sweetmore to scale its capabilities, deepen customer relationships, and evolve into a diversified market leader.
